Look who arrived this morning! SHE’S GONNA FIND OUT WHO KILLED MY DAD!
(Er, her dad, not mine…)
My newest swag. 12-inch Medicom RAH Link.
I have not many words… If you are a diehard Zelda fan, there’s no other figure that will do Link 200% justice other than this figure. So glad I didn’t purchase the Figma and waited for this one instead. URGH IT’S SO GOOD! He’s expensive, but SO WORTH IT.
I didn’t even take a picture of all his other weapons/props; it’s so good…
Now. To wait for Medicom to make a Princess Zelda…
Figures I picked up over the past month or so. I really want to open these up and display ‘em, but we may not even be living here for all I know after the next 4 months. O___o
And RAH Link was released so I can’t wait for him to arrive!!!!
Dat Tharja, doe.
This pre-order announcement has me beyond excited! Phat Company’s Ryuko Matoi: Kamui Senketsu Ver. from Kill la Kill! I adore this series and I even love this figure more so! I can’t wait to get her into my hands!! Get yours now at the Good Smile Company Online Shop!
While I’ve been a less-than-enthusiastic supporter of Dragon’s Crown in the figure world, two have one me over so far. First Vertex’s Tiki, and then MegaHouse when they showed off their painted version of Elf. I really thought my issues with the anatomy would prevent me from even thinking about buying her, but she is SO gorgeous! The hair shading is unreal. She popped up with Amazon at MegaHobby, and now we get to take a closer look at both of them!

Grabbing all 3 of these when they drop.
My then-cluttered office as of the week before last~ Also the last photo evidence of 5 years’ worth of work in this office.
The worst part was boxing all those figures up. The Mac is going to annoy me… And the Cintiq is going to be the ultimate worst to move, so I’m saving that for last (thing literally weighs about 9 newborn babies all at once)… Kinda going to miss this apartment in small minor ways because of all the positive and hard-working memories but honestly, can’t wait to get outta here! :D
*planning funeral in advance, juussssst in case*
Hey, everyone! Time for another update on some goodies-related stuff:
Esmy’s 3D sculpt for her Bishoujo’esque statue is practically finished for the most part, and is off for production. We’re pretty excited and can’t wait to see the actual figure complete and in our hands! Bliss’ is up next!
Here’s a turnaround so you can see some finer details of this sculpt (just click and drag) [Warning: may take a while to load. If there’s a 404, just refresh until you get through]:
Now, this is not representative of a final paint job, but this is as close you’re going to get for a digital look. Esmy will be approximately 24cm tall (about 9.5 inches) and will come with her other three weapons (Spear, Axe, Crossbow) to choose from when you display her. As far as fulfillment goes for this figure, please read these following notes:
- For all of our backers that ordered an Esmy and/or Bliss figure, we will be sending out surveys for your groups very soon. We’ll need specification as to whether you want your figure stock pre-painted, or as an unpainted kit. We know that quite a few of you would like to paint her yourselves or have someone you know paint them for you. We’ll need this survey filled ASAP so we can get our numbers in for production. This goes for Bliss’ sculpt as well if you ordered both girls in the higher-tier packages.
- We’re only going to have about 250 made of Esmy in full! That means, since about 200 people have already ordered one of her during the campaign, there will only be about 50 available. There will not be another reprint. There have been some who have expressed wanting an Esmy figure much after the Kickstarter was over. These remaining ones will be available for picking up by anyone, and preorders for them will be thrown up on our upcoming revamped site, although, they will cost $150 each. This will be your final chance to grab one of these figures if you wanted one, but have been on the fence about it. We will make an announcement when the preorder page goes up.
As for the game development, we’ll be having more things to show in the next few weeks to come!
Hope everyone is also enjoying E3, whether seriously or comically! :)
Continuation from last week’s post; here’s the proportion notes I sent off to our sculptor over the weekend for the statues. I ended up tweaking the head size some more for the statues, so now they’ll be more close to IRL proportions.
Just unboxed this huge Amanda Werner figure from Blassreiter I had sitting around for a while, and wow. Amazing sculpt (and my kinda body type :3). She’s a bit over 11 inches tall and pretty heavy, not die-cast “heavy”, but she has some weight to her (no pun intended).
The only things I’m not really a fan of is the way her hair splits in the back. I mean, I know it was done that way to focus on her healthy gluteus maximus, but the way it looks in the back just looks awkward. Like the hair just went “open sesame” to reveal the backside. Hair just doesn’t work that way, but hey, it’s an anime figure. You take what you can get. It looks better from the front.
Also, she seems like she’d eventually lean the more she’s out; the peg that goes in her foot is pretty long, but still, it just looks like one of those figures that it’s bound to happen to.
Since she’s so huge, (and will probably lean eventually) I really don’t have any place left to put her, but I might just keep her out for a bit. She makes for some good reference perception.
9 out of 10, yo.
